Overview

Learn the techniques you can use to improve work flow, promote continuous improvement. This course focuses on understanding the tools and developing strategies for immediate and continuous process improvement.

This course offers a “hands on” approach to learning through individual and team assignments. Each attendee will create a unique “AS-IS” business work flow model that will be transformed to a more efficient and effective “TO BE” work flow model. It is not unusual for the “TO BE” process model constructed during this course to be considered as a potential Process Improvement project for the “real world” environment.

You Will Learn How To

  1. Identify the components and the environment of a process to enable effective Process Improvements.

  2. Identify and respond to the needs of your organization and your customers by identifying potential process improvement projects.

  3. Apply three recognized Business Process Modeling tools.

  4. Describe successful mapping guidelines and techniques for a preparing a Process Model.

  5. Select the optimal Process Improvement approach based upon the rewards and consequences, given the objectives of your Process Improvement project.

  6. Apply a common Process Analysis methodology to an existing process to enable the design of an improved process.

  7. Use a toolkit of Process Analysis questions to effectively “trigger” a redesign of a process.
